Dream Weaver Pets – Adoption Process & Policies
We’re so excited you’re interested in bringing one of our Maine Coon kittens into your home! Below is important information about our adoption process, deposits, and general policies.
Reserving Your Kitten (Deposit Policy)
A $500 deposit is required to reserve a kitten and will be applied toward the final purchase price.
Deposits are accepted only after kittens are posted on our “Available Kittens” page, typically around 8 weeks of age.
Deposits are non-refundable, except in the rare event that a reserved kitten experiences a serious health issue or loss while still in our care prior to going home. In that case, the deposit will be refunded in full.
Pricing & Kitten Development
Maine Coon kittens grow and change as they mature. Their coat, color, size, and personality may continue developing, which is normal for the breed.
Final pricing is based on factors including color, markings, structure, temperament, and development, and may be adjusted prior to reservation.
Going Home Timeline
Kittens typically go to their new homes between 12–14 weeks of age to support proper social development and overall health.
Health & Veterinary Policy
Our kittens receive age-appropriate veterinary care while in our home. However, no breeder can guarantee a kitten will never experience illness in the future, as health can be influenced by stress, environment, diet, and exposure after leaving our care.
Buyers are responsible for all veterinary care after pickup/delivery. We strongly recommend scheduling a wellness exam with your veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival.
Delivery / Travel
Delivery options within the United States may be available at the buyer’s expense. All delivery fees and arrangements must be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
Right to Refuse Sale
Dream Weaver Pets reserves the right to refuse an adoption at our discretion if we feel it is not in the best interest of the kitten.
Rehoming Policy
If you ever need to rehome your cat, please contact us first. While we cannot guarantee placement, we will do our best to assist with safe rehoming options.
